ATTENTION: SENIORS OF MILITARY FAMILIES
Each year, LPHS honors military families by providing Red, White, and Blue cords for their Seniors to wear at graduation. If you have had a member of your immediate family (e.g. father, mother, sister, brother) serve in the U.S. military during your high school career, please contact Mrs. Sciacca in Student Services and she will reserve a cord for you. Please contact Mrs. Sciacca by Friday, May 2.

2014 SENIOR SPOTLIGHT
Before long, many seniors will be finding out about college scholarships and other private scholarships they have been awarded. Every year LPHS honors these scholarship recipients in our Senior Spotlight display, located at the door to Student Services and at our Senior Awards Night during graduation week. To insure that you are properly recognized, please pick up a Scholarship Award Form in the Main Office or Student Services. Please return the completed form to Mrs. Sciacca in Student Services no later than May 2, 2014. When you return this form you will be included in the Senior Spotlight and you will be invited to the Senior Awards Night on May 19, 2014.
Please also include a wallet sized photo for the Senior Spotlight.

Are you a high school junior interested in applying for The American Legion Colorado Boys State or Girls State?

SYCAMORE LEARNING COMPANY ACT PREP
ACT SEMINAR "PREP FOR THE FUTURE"
Sycamore Learning Company is offering an ACT Seminar at LPHS, March 31 & April 1st, 3:15pm - 5:45pm. These 5-hour seminars are designed to help students prepare for the upcoming ACT with specific strategies to maximize scoring on each section of these tests. The cost for the seminar is $79. Mailers were sent home to all Juniors.

It is never too early to start exploring post-secondary opportunities. Sign up to meet a College Admissions Representative and gain a better understanding of what you should be doing NOW to increase your chances for success later!

Important Transcript Information!!
SENIORS! Please follow the steps below when ordering your transcripts for colleges:
1. See Mrs. Sciacca, School Registrar, after you have completed your college or scholarship applications.
2. Pay $3.00 for each official transcript, allowing a minimum of 48 hours for the work order to be completed.
3. Bring Mrs. Sciacca the SENDEDU FORM for electronic submissions of your transcript and school profile; OR bring the completed mailing address for where you would like the transcript sent.
College Reps at LPHS!
Many colleges and universities from across the country and the state have made arrangements to visit LPHS! Take advantage of this opportunity to learn more about different schools without leaving the building. Students wanting to meet with an admissions representative must sign up in Naviance and print off their confirmation. Bring your confirmation to class and have your teacher sign it before leaving to meet with a representative. See your counselor if you are having difficulty getting onto Naviance. A list of schools that have scheduled visits can be found on Naviance.
